What you do here
View the hierarchy (manager → team) built from the employee records. The "manager" here is whoever receives approvals routed by MANAGER in the approval engine.

Export and analyze the structure
The bar above the diagram exports the structure to CSV and PDF — the PDF comes out ready to take to a meeting. The analysis button asks Tenkai for an opinion on the structure, with the calculation breakdown available for checking. In the diagram, the zoom controls are in the upper right corner of the frame and the nodes collapse and expand with the + and − signs. The costs per person shown in the nodes obey the Show Values permission.

The org chart is not a wall drawing: the hierarchy by direct manager defined here is the BASIS of approval authority by manager — who approves whose expense, purchase and termination. Did the structure change? Change it HERE, and the authority levels follow on their own.
Frequently asked questions
Why do people without a manager show up?
A person without a defined direct manager appears loose at the root — and escapes manager-based approval authority (their approval goes straight to the configured alternative). Complete the link in the employee record; the list of loose people on this screen is the tidy-up queue.
