The honest conversation

Why Tenka — and not one more off the shelf?

The question every buyer asks deserves an answer that is not a slogan. This page is the answer: who the competitors are, what they do well, where they stop — and what we prove on screen, not in speech.

The right question: native breadth or stitched breadth?

Everyone says they "have it all". The difference is HOW: suites built from acquisitions and community apps charge the price at integration time — each module with its own database, login and support. In Tenka, the 40+ modules are born on the same base: one database, one permission model, one audit trail. The number on your dashboard is the ledger's number — because it IS the ledger's.

The four kinds of competitor — and where each one stops

Respect for what they do well: they are mature products within their slices. The point is that each slice covers a third of the problem of those who sell work — and 3 tools + a spreadsheet is the patchwork you already know.

Service operations managementRunrun.it · Artia · Operand✓ Mature projects, kanban and time tracking; good experience for the delivery team.✗ Cost is simplistic (no payroll charges) and finance is shallow or absent — real margin per client lives in a side spreadsheet.
Finance and light ERPConta Azul · Omie · Bling · Nibo✓ Competent Brazilian finance: accounts, billing, reconciliation, product invoices.✗ They do not know what a worked hour is: without contract→hour→cost→margin, service sellers glue a project tool on the side.
FP&A and controllingTreasy · Accountfy · Cube · Mosaic✓ Sophisticated planning, consolidation and management reporting for the CFO.✗ They live off connectors: operations happen elsewhere, and true intercompany elimination — at posting time, not in the report — none of them does.
Textile and fashion ERPSystêxtil · Audaces · Linx✓ Shop-floor depth: spinning, knitting and apparel planning, color recipes, tech pack and nesting, and fashion retail with omnichannel POS.✗ The chain comes in pieces: each product covers one stretch (spinning to apparel, garment design or the store) and the link between them is an integration. Payroll, customer portal and an AI assistant do not appear in the published features.

What they do not have — and we prove on screen

Each pain below is real, has a name, and the screen next to it is how it ends. Not promising: showing.

The comparison, line by line

Grouped by subject, against the six product families we compete with most. It includes the rows where we lose — a table where one side never loses is not a comparison.

BMCode analysis, based on the features published on the vendors' websites (updated in Oct/2026, subject to change by the vendors). The names mentioned belong to their owners. Every item marked ✓ for Tenka is in production — our rule: sales material does not promise what does not exist.

And what we do not have yet

Transparency is also a differentiator, so here is the list: automatic bank connection (Open Finance) is built and tested, but the provider has not been contracted yet — in practice, reconciliation comes in by file today. eSocial transmission goes through the partner, not directly. Intercompany elimination happens in consolidation, not as a posted entry. Outside Brazil, the local invoice is still simulated. The POS does not talk to the card machine (TEF), the scale or the cash drawer yet, and the tech pack does not do pattern nesting. And we have no native app in the stores: what we have is an app installed from the browser that works offline and receives notifications. We prefer the stated gap to the empty promise — misleading advertising is what destroys trust in our market.
