The place to throw everything that comes up in the middle of the day without stopping what you're doing — and sort it later, all at once. Capturing and deciding are two moments; mixing them is what stalls both.

What this screen answers
The floating capture button exists on ANY screen of the system: open, type, Enter. You don't need to come here to record something — only to sort.
Rules
Capturing doesn't require any classification
No type, no client, no project: a text field and that's it, from any screen in the system via the floating button. Triage comes later, with a destination suggestion, and the decision is always yours.
Discarding is emptying the box
Deciding that something isn't useful is a legitimate decision, and it gets recorded. An item that doesn't become anything and also isn't discarded is invisible debt: it keeps taking up attention while belonging nowhere.
What this screen answers
Leaving the screen with something typed and not saved discards the text, on purpose — a half-finished draft travelling between screens becomes junk nobody reviews. What survives is the item you saved.
The 2-minute rule: recording it can cost more than just doing it
If the task can be resolved in under two minutes, doing it now is cheaper than recording, prioritizing, reopening and closing it. The system flags these cases and the item leaves the box without generating a request.
What this screen answers
There is no manager, HR or administrator view of your inbox. That's what lets you write "chase so-and-so again" without thinking about who's going to read it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the destination suggestion reliable?
It's a suggestion, and it's never applied on its own. When the AI isn't available, a simple word-matching rule takes over — and the screen says it was by rule, instead of pretending it was AI.
