Progress comes from the balance
Link the goal to an account or an investment: progress is its balance today minus what was already there when the goal was created. Without a link, enter the saved amount by hand.
The goal that saves on its own
On the Automatic savings tab, say how much to save and on which day, and the Pix key of the account where the money should go (the emergency fund, the investment). If you like, tick that savings rise with income: when household income goes up, that share of the raise starts going to the goal without you having to remember. On the day, Tenka schedules the automatic Pix (with your Open Finance consent and a configured provider) or reminds you with the Pix copy-and-paste code and QR ready.

Rules

How much to save per month
With a target date, Tenka divides what is missing by the remaining months and shows how much to save per month. Active goals also appear in the Household budget.
How the goal measures progress
Set the target amount and, if you have one, the date. Link an account or an investment: progress is its balance today minus what was already there when the goal was created. With a date, the screen shows how much to save per month until then.
Save More Tomorrow
The Thaler and Benartzi rule (Save More Tomorrow, 2004): instead of asking for an effort today, you decide now to save part of future raises. With R$ 300 a month and 50% of the raise, if household income goes from R$ 8k to R$ 9k, the goal starts receiving R$ 800. The raise is measured against income on the day the rule was created; Tenka never schedules a Pix without the consent ticked.

Frequently asked questions

I took money out of the goal account. Now what?
Progress goes down with it — which is what the family needs to see. If it went to the goal itself (the renovation started), close the goal or lower the target.
