Paid minus consumed
Paid is what left each family accounts and cards. Consumed is what belongs to it by cost center and split. The difference says who is owed and who owes.

Rules

What must be registered
Two or more cost centers of type Family, the people under them, and the owner (family) on each account and card. An account without owner is the common fund: what leaves it creates no debt for anyone.
Who counts as a family in the settlement
In the settlement, a family is a Family-type center with people: a person inside or an account or card in its name. The "Home" center created by the account, when empty, and any Family center that contains other families are shared areas: their spending is split equally among the families, and the screen lists which ones were treated this way.
Recording the settlement as paid
After transferring, choose the date and click "Record as paid": the month’s settlement is marked with the date, and "Undo" returns it to open. The account entry is not created here — the transfer comes in through the imported statement, and creating both would count the same money twice.

Frequently asked questions

What about shared bills, like the health plan?
Post ONE entry split among the people of both families: each consumes its share. What belongs to the Common center is split equally among the families.
