What this screen is for
For the subcontractor (or any shop that processes other people's material) to control what belongs to whom. The customer sends fabric or cut pieces; you record the receipt, the material enters a warehouse of its own at zero cost; when you return it, you record what came back and what was lost, and the service value becomes a receivable. It is external processing seen from the other side: there, whoever sends; here, whoever receives.

Rules

One warehouse per customer, at zero cost
The first time a customer sends material, the screen creates the "Material of " warehouse (type Customer material). Everything of theirs enters there at zero cost — it is not yours, it is worth nothing on your balance sheet, it enters neither the ABC curve nor the average cost. "How much of customer X do I hold" is that warehouse's balance.
Received − returned − loss = in our custody, always
A return that exceeds what is in our custody is refused. A loss without a reason is refused. That is what separates control from a spreadsheet: "3% went missing" does not settle a conversation with the customer; "3 pieces with a fabric defect" does.
Closing creates the receivable
On return, quantity returned × price per piece = service value. With the revenue account chosen, Tenka creates the receivable in the customer's name with the given due date. Without an account, the return is posted and the bill is left for you to decide later — the value stays recorded on the document.
Cancel only without a return
A receipt with any return posted cannot be cancelled — it is corrected with a new return. Cancelling a clean receipt removes from the customer's warehouse what the entry put in.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer's material show in my stock?
It shows in their warehouse, apart, at zero cost. On the stock board you see it as a quantity in the "Material of " warehouse, never as value. To hide it, filter by your own warehouse.
And if I also send material to another shop?
Then you are the sender: use External processing. The two screens coexist — one for what you receive, the other for what you send.
