What it's for
Formal inventory of assets: what exists, how much it cost, when it was added. It feeds depreciation (REAL monthly cost in the DRE) and the balance sheet.

Rules

Depreciation
Depreciation is based on the asset's three fields: acquisition value, useful life in months and residual value. The depreciable base is the acquisition value minus the residual (what the asset will still be worth at the end of its useful life), spread over the months of useful life starting from the acquisition date. That's why the three fields deserve care when registering: too short a useful life inflates the monthly expense, and a forgotten residual value depreciates the asset all the way to zero. Adjust them before the first closing in which the asset is included.
Write-off
Sold or disposed of it? Record the WRITE-OFF with a date — the asset leaves the fixed assets and stops depreciating. The balance sheet reconciles the accounting net value with this module.
Invoice
The value and acquisition date entered here must mirror the tax document from the asset's purchase — they form the depreciation base and the cost of any future write-off. Keep the invoice together with the record: in an audit or when selling the asset, it's what proves the declared acquisition cost. A mismatch between the record and the invoice doesn't raise an error anywhere — the figure simply comes out wrong in the accounting, month after month, until someone checks it.
A visão salva guarda busca, filtros, colunas e ordenação
When you save a view with the Views button, it stores four things: the search text, the applied filters, which columns appear (and in what order) and which column the list is sorted by. Applying the view restores everything at once — including resetting the sort and the page you were on, so the result is exactly what the view describes. Views saved before this version remain valid: whatever they didn't store simply doesn't change when applied.

Frequently asked questions

What goes here
This includes assets the company owns and uses in operations on a lasting basis: machinery, equipment, furniture, vehicles, computers — each with description, category, value and acquisition date, useful life and status. It does not include inventory (goods for resale), consumables or ordinary expenses: the criterion is that the asset serves operations across several fiscal years, rather than being consumed by them. When in doubt between expense and fixed asset, the item's value and durability decide — and the accountant is the tiebreaker.
Como descobrir quem mudou um campo desta ficha?
Open the record and look at the Timeline on the right: it shows each change as "from one value to another", with the person and the date. When there are many changes, use the two filters at the top of the timeline — one by field, the other by person. The search runs in the database, so old changes show up just the same. You can also ask Tenkai: "who changed contract 482?".
