What this screen is for
A card sale is not cash today: it is a receivable the acquirer pays in 30 days minus the fee. And wholesale still receives post-dated checks. Here you declare fees, track what will fall due, advance when needed (seeing the cost) and manage the check portfolio.
Rules
Fees and the sale's receivable
Register the fee by mode (credit/debit), installments and brand, with the receiving term. With a fee registered, each POS card sale becomes an OPEN receivable due on the term, with the fee under "administrative fee" and the net in the total. Without a fee, the sale keeps entering as the day's cash.
Advancing
Cost = amount × monthly rate × days ÷ 30. On advancing, the receivable is settled today for the net and the cost is recorded as a discount — and in the advance's memory, so you know what haste cost in the month.
A check's life
Registering creates the receivable due on the "good for" date. Custody = at the bank; Deposited; Cleared = settles the receivable. Bounced requires the reason and reopens the receivable. Passed to a supplier settles the customer's receivable and records who got it.
Frequently asked questions
