What is produced and what is resold, side by side
The knitting mill that also imports viscose and linen and resells from stock sees revenue, cost (COGS) and margin for three origins: produced (has a machine or yarn recipe), domestic resale and imported resale (the article came through an import process). The imported cost is the average entry cost — the landed cost.

How to

Imported viscose resold
Import process of 2,000 m of viscose with a landed cost of R$ 18.40/m; 300 m sold at R$ 29/m: revenue R$ 8,700, COGS R$ 5,520, margin R$ 3,180 (36.6%) on the "imported resale" line, next to the produced knit margin.

Rules

A resale article needs no yarn recipe
Fabric bought ready is registered as goods for resale (SPED type 00), in metres or kg, with no machine or recipe. The showroom marks the imported article.

Frequently asked questions

Artigo de revenda pede receita de fios?
Não: revenda não tem receita, tem custo de compra (nacional ou importado, com os impostos nacionalizados). A tela separa os três mundos — produzido, revendido nacional e importado — para a margem de cada um não se misturar.
