The rib goes along by itself
Each fabric article says which item goes with it (rib, cuff, collar) and the percentage. In the order, when the fabric is entered, the companion line appears matched to it and recalculates when the fabric changes. A customer may have their own percentage; the salesperson can still change it on the order line.
How to
Two hundred kilos at five percent
200 kg of navy 30/1 single jersey with 5% rib: the navy 30/1 rib line is born with 10 kg. The customer asks for 8%: it becomes 16 kg. The fabric changes to black: the rib changes to black.
Rules
The three matching levels
Article and colour: the right rib in the same colour. Same dye lot: the rib comes from the same dye lot as the fabric (identical shade). Same dye house: different dye lots, but dyed by the same contractor. Picking only offers a roll that matches; with no compatible roll, the line warns before invoicing.
