Production process
The reusable production process and how to apply it to bills of materials.
Start here
What this screen is for
Register the sequence of production steps once and reuse it in as many bills of materials as needed. In the bill, choose the process and click "Apply process": the bill's routing becomes a copy of the steps, and every new work order of that bill is born with them.
How to
Standard list and form
The screen became the standard list: search, filters, saved views, columns, export and trash with Undo. Click the record (or New) to open the form, with the detail tabs when there are any.
Rules
Internal and external step
An internal step happens in-house, at the chosen resource. An external step goes to a third party — subcontractor, laundry, embroidery — and asks for the third party. In the work order, the external step is linked to the processing shipment that took the lot; when the shipment's return is recorded, the step moves by itself: what came back counts as good pieces and the loss as scrap.
Instruction, checklist and scrap reason
The instruction appears to whoever reports the step on the work order. The checklist (one item per line) must be confirmed before reporting good pieces. With "Requires scrap reason", the step only accepts scrap with the reason — loss by reason shows where the loss is born.
Changing the process does not change what already ran
Applying is a copy: changing or deleting the process later does not change the routing of bills that already applied it, nor work orders already created. For a bill to follow the new process, apply it again.
Parallel, rework and the order of the steps
Drag the rows of the steps table to change the order; the drawing above shows the flow. Give the same "Parallel group" number to neighboring steps that run together — they appear in the same column. In "Rework goes back to", choose the step that receives the pieces back: on the work order, scrap in this step reopens that one. When you reorder, the rework target follows the step.
Frequently asked questions
Mudei o processo. As ordens em andamento mudam junto?
Não: mudar o processo não muda o que já rodou nem o que está em andamento — a ficha técnica que já foi para a produção guarda a versão que usou. Ordens novas a partir de agora usam o processo alterado.
