The work order from start to finish
Create the work order from the technical sheet (the item, components and routing come from it), release it to the floor, log what was done at each step and close it — the actual cost is calculated and compared with the standard.

How to

Log without network
In the Logs tab, without internet the button to log through the shop floor queue appears: the log is kept on the device and uploads by itself when the network comes back — the panel shows what has not been uploaded yet.

Rules

Cancelling is not reversing
Cancel the work order for what has not been done yet; what already left the stock does NOT come back by itself. A concluded work order does not go to the trash: it has become stock and cost.
Where the production order went over, stage by stage
In the production order stages table, each stage shows the expected hours from the routing standard time and the variance of what was reported. The stage that went over the expected time turns red. Without a standard time in the routing, a dash is shown.
Actual cost so far at the top of the order
While the order is not completed, its top shows the actual cost accumulated so far — the same total as the Cost by stage tab: material at the stage where it is used, reported hours times the resource rate and the subcontractor service — and the cost per piece already reported (the total divided by the pieces of the most advanced stage). Once completed, it shows the closed actual cost, with the variance against the standard cost.
Standard cost and accumulated per piece on the production order
The order is created with the standard cost from the technical sheet: components at today's average cost, stage times at the hourly cost and the service agreed with the subcontractor. On completion it is recalculated and compared with the actual cost. In the cost by stage, "Accumulated per piece" is the cost accumulated up to the stage divided by the pieces already reported on the order — the same divisor as the per-piece cost in the header; once the order is finished, it divides by the batch quantity.
View-only profile: why the button warns and does not save
Releasing, recording progress, issuing components, completing a step, completing and cancelling the production order save data and move stock, so they check your profile permission on this screen on the server too. Someone with view-only access sees the order, but on clicking gets the notice that they can view and not save — nothing is changed. Need to operate it? Ask the account administrator for the change permission on this screen (and the add permission, to create orders).
