Certificações

Each row here is the statement of a certification body, stored with the number that lets you check it at the source. Tenka does not issue seals, does not validate documents and does not replace audits. This distinction is not pedantry: whoever answers a buyer's questionnaire needs to know the difference between "I have the certificate" and "the system says I have it".

A standard without scope is the most misleading piece of information in the textile chain. A GOTS that covers one organic cotton line becomes, three conversations later, "the factory is GOTS". Write what the certificate actually covers — that's what the auditor will compare with the invoice.

The screen became the standard list: search, filters, saved views, columns, export and trash with Undo. Click the record (or New) to open the form, with the detail tabs when there are any.

A certification without a stated expiry appears as "expiry not provided", in grey — never as valid. Assuming validity on data nobody gave would turn "I don't know" into "it's valid", and someone makes purchase decisions on that. If the certificate really doesn't expire, write that in the scope or the notes.

VALID, EXPIRING and EXPIRED are calculated from the expiry date and the alert period — nobody types them. SUSPENDED exists because a body can suspend a certificate BEFORE it expires, and in that case the date knows nothing. It's the only one you set by hand, and it overrides the other three.

It does not do LCA (life-cycle assessment footprint), does not issue a Digital Product Passport and does not produce CSRD/ESRS reporting. Those are products in their own right, not modules. And it's worth saying what is already in the ESG module: the platform's environmental pillar today is an ESTIMATE based on spending multiplied by an emission factor, with declared coverage — not measured water, energy or effluent. Selling an estimate as a measurement is exactly what this house's claim validator exists to prevent.

The operating licence and the water permit are certifications with validity; in their record, the Conditions tab keeps what the environmental agency requires: measure an effluent parameter against a limit, deliver a report periodically, respect the permitted flow. The measurement reads the latest effluent-plant reading by itself and shows whether it is within the limit. Overdue, due soon or out of limit, whoever sees the certifications is alerted — once per due date.

Because the document management module already does this better: it versions, stores expiry and owner, warns before expiry and keeps the bytes in the single catalog. Storing the file here would also create two places holding the same truth — and two places disagreeing don't raise an error, they give two versions of the fact. The certification points to the document; the document still belongs to document management.
