Measure to know kWh per kg
Record energy per day (or shift) and area, with the kg produced in the same period. Tenka computes kWh per kg for each area and the whole mill, compares with the target and shows where energy is being wasted. The main meter goes in as “Whole mill”.

Where a spinning mill’s energy goes
In a ring spinning mill, ring frames usually take more than half of the energy; add compressors and air conditioning (utilities) and what is left is blowroom, card, drawframe and winding. That is why the kWh/kg target is tracked by area — the mill figure alone hides the ring frame that went out of adjustment.
Rules
Contracted demand and overrun
Contracted demand lives in the energy contract (Commodities → ENERGY negotiation). When measured peak demand passes the warning percentage (95% by default) the cockpit turns yellow; above 100% is an overrun — the penalty comes on the utility bill.
