What this screen is for
Textile products sold in Brazil must carry a permanent label stating the composition in percentages, country of origin, who is responsible for the product (with CNPJ), size and care instructions. It's a CONMETRO rule, enforced by Procon and Inmetro, and the fine falls on the garment maker. Here the label is generated from the product record and comes out as a PDF ready for the printer.
How to
Standard list and form
The screen became the standard list: search, filters, saved views, columns, export and trash with Undo. Click the record (or New) to open the form, with the detail tabs when there are any.
Rules
The total must add up to 100%
The screen refuses to generate the label if the composition doesn't add up to exactly 100%. It looks like a detail and it's the most common defect: when composition is a text field, nobody can add it up, so nobody notices it ended up at 90% — and that's exactly what the inspector fines.
Uma fibra entra uma vez só
You can't enter "50% cotton" twice. The sum would reach 100 and the label would come out absurd, saying two things about the same fiber.
Quem responde pelo produto pode não ser você
By default the responsible party is your company, filled in from the company record. If you produce for a third party, the one the standard requires you to identify is the brand owner — change it in the item's field.
The export size on the label is a reference
When the Label: size markets parameter is filled (for example EU,US,UK), the label prints the equivalent below the Brazilian size. That equivalent is a conversion reference from each market's usual chart: check with the customer before printing the lot, because their pattern may call for another number.
Frequently asked questions
Por que os cuidados vêm de uma lista?
Because two labels from the same factory can't say different things about the same garment. The list follows the five axes of ISO 3758 (washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional cleaning). Whatever the list doesn't cover goes in the free-text field.
Meu item não aparece na lista
Only items marked as textile appear. A screw has no textile composition, and mixing them would turn the list into the entire item catalog. The flag lives on the item itself.
