Company emission factors
The digital passport estimates the footprint with public LCA averages (cotton, polyester, elastane, processing, Brazilian electricity). If your supplier has its own product factor (EPD, report, LCA), register it here with the source: it replaces the reference on every garment.
How to
A T-shirt 95% cotton and 5% elastane
0.35 kg of jersey per garment. Fibre: 0.95 × 1.80 + 0.05 × 15.00 = 2.46 kg CO₂e per kg; × 0.35 = 0.86. Processing: 0.35 × 3.50 = 1.23. Energy: 0.5 kWh × 0.0385 = 0.02. Estimated footprint ≈ 2.11 kg CO₂e per garment. Switching conventional cotton for organic (0.98), the fibre part drops to 0.59.
Rules
The key matches the composition
For fibre, the key is the fibre name as it appears on the label composition (“Cotton”, “Recycled polyester”); accents and case do not matter. For fabric processing use BENEFICIAMENTO (kg CO₂e per kg of fabric) and for electricity use ENERGIA (per kWh). Without a source, the factor is not saved.
