What Shortage allocation is for
When confirmed orders exceed an item's stock, this screen shows who gets what before you save anything. It gathers the orders competing for the same item, applies the house rule and shows, order by order, how much each one asks, gets and is short. Only when you click Apply are the reservations redone and the run recorded with the summary.

Rules

How Tenka decides who gets what
The rule has three steps: first the customer priority (1 is a key account; no priority counts as 2); within the same priority, orders that fit completely go first; on a tie, the promised date. Each channel's share is the percentage of available stock kept for it without moving goods: that channel's orders draw from their share first and the others only from the rest. Shares add up to at most 100%.

Frequently asked questions

I saw who gets what, but the reservations didn’t change. Why?
The screen only shows the split before saving. Reservations are redone only when you click Apply; then the round is recorded with the summary.
