What it is for
It is the essence of the company on a phone screen: how much cash you have today, the 7-day projection, what is overdue to receive, what is due to pay this week, the month's result by accrual basis and operations (open tasks, overdue ones and the team's hours). It opens with a message at the top — the day's takeaway in one sentence — and closes with ready-made questions for Tenkai. The "refresh" link reloads the numbers right away, without leaving the screen.

Rules

Few numbers, on purpose
The screen shows half a dozen numbers, and that is a design decision: on the phone, the full panel would become an endless scroll and no number would actually get looked at. What remains answers the day's three questions — do I have cash? will I have it? is the operation moving? Each number is a slice that exists with full detail in the full version; when one of them calls for investigation, the path is the big screen, not more numbers here. The phone is for knowing; the desk is for digging.
Every number has a source screen
If something catches your attention, the way is to open the full screen on the computer — not to decide based on the summary. The summary says there is something to look at; it does not say why.
Current-month numbers are still going to change
The month's result is by accrual basis — the revenue and expense of the worked month, not of what hit the bank — and the current month keeps receiving entries: payroll, billing and expenses keep coming in until closing. Today's number is not the number for the 31st, and comparing day 10 of this month with the closed prior month is comparing different things. Use the current month as a trend; for a conclusion, wait for it to close or compare a closed month with a closed month.

Frequently asked questions

If a number looks wrong
The numbers come straight from your finance and operations data — the screen does not calculate anything separately. Before doubting the panel, tap "refresh" (the data may be from a few minutes ago) and check the source: strange cash usually means a missing entry or an unreconciled account in finance; a task that is "way too overdue" is usually a deadline not updated in operations. Once the source is fixed, the summary reflects it on the next load. If it still does not add up, then it is worth reporting — with the number and the time you saw it.
Where does the MEI limit alert come from?
If your company is set as MEI in Settings, Tenka adds up checkout sales and delivered orders for the year and compares them with the MEI revenue limit. It alerts at 80% and 100%, citing the rule; the alert also goes to the bell once per level. You decide the next step with your accountant.
