Building the yarn laydown
Choose the yarn and the bales: Tenka computes the weighted average and variation of each property, lights the traffic light against the yarn specification and compares with the previous laydown of the same yarn. “Suggest bales” swaps the ones that take the laydown out of range at the lowest cost.

Rules

Same as the previous = zero barré
The distance in average micronaire to the previous laydown of the same yarn is shown on the card; above the Maximum distance parameter (0.10) the light turns red. Variation inside the laydown (CV) above 10% also lights up. Together they are what the customer’s knitting mill sees as barré.
Row actions always in view
In lists with many columns, the row actions column (open, edit, trash) stays fixed on the right of the table: no need to scroll to the end to reach it. The other columns scroll beneath it.

Frequently asked questions

What about the yarn forecast?
When the laydown is closed, Tenka forecasts yarn CVm, IPI and RKM with a regression over the mill’s own historical reports (at least 15 laydown × report pairs); without history it uses reference ranges and says so. The accumulated accuracy is shown alongside (“forecast 12.6, got 12.9”).
