Each copy with its number
Rental works by serial, not by quantity: register each physical unit with the item it is a copy of and the serial number.
How to
The bridge with fixed assets
An own unit (company asset) points to the fixed asset: depreciation and rental then talk about the same equipment. Resale and loaned units stay without an asset, by declaration.
Rules
The status follows the rental
When rented, the unit goes to Rented with the current customer; on return, back to Available. Maintenance and write-off are set by hand, here on the form.
