Registre na hora, não no fim do mês
Paid for a taxi, a toll, a lunch with a customer? Record it now, with the receipt in hand: category, amount, date and a description that explains the context ("taxi from the airport to the customer"). An expense remembered weeks later comes without context and comes back rejected.

A descrição decide a aprovação
The approver sees category, amount and your description — that is all. "Lunch" says nothing; "lunch with ACME's buyer on the proposal visit" approves itself. Write for someone who will read it without having been there.
Rules
The expense path
Recorded → approved or rejected by the manager → approved becomes a reimbursement payable in finance. Track yours by the status badge in the My expenses list: yellow is waiting, green was approved (or paid), red was rejected.
For approvers
If you have approval authority, the To approve section appears with the team's pending queue. Approve sends it to finance as a reimbursement; Reject returns it. Do not let the queue age: a late reimbursement is the team financing the company out of their own pocket.
Frequently asked questions
Registrei errado — e agora?
There is no editing after it is recorded: let the approver know so they reject it, and record it again with the correct data. Rejection is not a punishment, it is the correction mechanism.
